Legend Internet Plc has declared a final dividend of 6 kobo per 50 kobo share, marking a total payout of N120 million for the financial year ended July 31, 2025. This announcement, filed with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) and signed by Erinma Onuoma, the company’s Secretary, reinforces Legend Internet’s commitment to creating consistent value for its shareholders amid Nigeria’s evolving digital economy.

According to the statement, the dividend – subject to withholding tax and regulatory approval – will be paid electronically to eligible shareholders on November 7, 2025, with the qualification date set for October 29, 2025. Shareholders yet to complete their e-dividend registration have been advised to contact Datamax Registrars to facilitate payment.

The dividend, which represents a yield of 1.03% at the company’s current market price of N5.80, reflects a dividend payout ratio of 84%, a testament to management’s confidence in its sustained earnings outlook and operational efficiency.

For the year under review, Legend Internet reported a profit after tax of N172.6 million, a notable 44.53% increase from N119.4 million in 2024, supported by stronger revenue growth and disciplined cost management. Revenue climbed to N1.19 billion from N1.13 billion, with the company’s fiber business accounting for the bulk of earnings at N1.12 billion. Its wholesale bandwidth and Wi-Fi services contributed N37.6 million and N22.2 million respectively, underscoring the company’s diversified revenue streams.

While sales expenses declined 6.8% to N429.6 million, administrative costs rose sharply by 52.39% to N560.1 million, reflecting increased staff costs and asset depreciation. Despite these pressures, the company maintained robust financial health, with total assets rising 10.33% to N3.3 billion and retained earnings strengthening to N734.5 million, up from N561.9 million the previous year.

StakeBridge IRPR Consulting Limited, an advisory firm specializing in investor and public relations strategy, notes that Legend Internet’s fiscal discipline and transparent communication exemplify best practices in shareholder engagement and investor confidence building – key pillars of Nigeria’s growing capital market ecosystem.

For investors, this dividend declaration signals stability and growth potential in the broadband and fiber connectivity segment – a sector increasingly seen as the backbone of Nigeria’s digital transformation.

As the company prepares to credit shareholders’ accounts in November, its performance narrative positions it as a reliable player in the Nigerian tech infrastructure space—balancing profitability with prudent reinvestment for sustainable growth.
