Nature’s Renaissance International (NRI) has introduced its Creativity Challenge, a digital competition scheduled to begin on November 26, 2025.

The initiative, which requires participants to use the company’s Uatd Eyi Charcoal Toothpaste in their submissions, will award prizes valued at up to N70 million across adult and teen categories.

According to the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Professor Clinton Brown Odiagbe, the challenge is intended to encourage creative expression while drawing attention to the growing interest in natural wellness products in Nigeria. He said the toothpaste is formulated with natural extracts and is designed to support gum health, whiten teeth, and freshen breath.

Participation is open to adults aged 18 to 60 and teenagers aged 10 to 16. Contestants are expected to purchase two packs of the toothpaste, produce a 45-second product demonstration video, and create a second 45-second ambassador-style clip. Entries must be uploaded on Instagram, Facebook, or TikTok with the hashtags #NRICreativityChallenge and #NRICares. Winners will be selected through public voting.

The Project Manager and host of the competition, Mr. Ikpeama Richard, known publicly as Mr. CRISNOW, said the contest provides a channel for young people to apply their creativity in a structured format. Prize categories include one-year ambassadorial deals, cars, and product supplies for two adult winners, scholarships worth N10 million for two teenagers, and cash prizes for influencers.

Entry requires following NRI’s social media pages and purchasing a promotional package on the company’s website for N6,000. The organisation stated that the project aligns with its interest in initiatives that encourage healthier habits and creative engagement among Nigerians.

The unveiling of the contest coincides with national discussions about funding models for the health sector ahead of new tax laws expected to take effect in 2026. Speaking at the 66th National Council on Health meeting in Calabar, Cross River State, the Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare, Dr Iziaq Salako, urged the sector to prepare for potential fiscal pressures arising from reforms such as fuel-related taxes and levies on alcohol, tobacco, and sugary drinks.

“We cannot continue to fund health the same way when our fiscal landscape is changing,” he said, noting that revenue from new taxes should translate into improvements in primary healthcare, diagnostics, and access to health insurance. He also highlighted ongoing plans to establish a Diaspora Health Investment Bond expected to raise up to 500 million dollars for infrastructure upgrades and digital health expansion.

As Nigeria adjusts to new revenue and policy realities, activities such as the NRI Creativity Challenge highlight the growing intersection between private initiatives, public health messaging, and citizen engagement in wellness-related issues.
