At the World Bank April 2026 Nigeria Development Update launch in Abuja, Mr. Wale Edun, Honourable Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, outlined current macro-fiscal trends indicating an economy in transition. Edun cited declining inflation, rising non-oil revenues, a moderating debt-to-Gross Domestic Product ratio, and a stabilising exchange rate as evidence of early reform outcomes.<\/p>\n

He positioned these developments within a broader fiscal transformation agenda anchored on structural adjustments to revenue mobilisation and public finance management.<\/p>\n
