Oppo has opened pre-orders for its upcoming Find X10 smartphone series in China, signalling the company’s latest push into the premium smartphone market. The Find X10, Find X10 Pro Max and Find X10E are now available for pre-order, ahead of their expected launch later this month.

DEVELOPMENT:

Oppo confirmed that the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max will feature 8,000mAh silicon-carbon batteries, with the company claiming the batteries can retain their capacity for up to five years.

The company also revealed that both models will run Android 17-based ColorOS 17 and use new Tianma displays with enhanced eye-protection features.

While Oppo has not disclosed an exact launch date, it has begun revealing specifications through Weibo.

DATA:

Battery capacity is the headline specification, with both the Find X10 and Find X10 Pro Max carrying 8,000mAh units.

Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the devices will support 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging, although these charging specifications have not been confirmed by Oppo.

The Find X10 Pro Max will also feature a triple 200-megapixel rear-camera system, giving the model a total of three 200MP sensors.

Oppo has yet to disclose detailed specifications for the Find X10E.

SIGNIFICANCE:

The move highlights the growing emphasis on battery endurance and silicon-carbon technology in premium smartphones. An 8,000mAh battery would give the Find X10 series a substantial power-capacity proposition, particularly for users who prioritise extended usage.

The claimed five-year capacity retention could also become an important selling point if the technology delivers on Oppo’s promise, potentially addressing consumer concerns about long-term battery degradation.

The triple 200MP camera configuration further positions the Pro Max as a device competing on high-end imaging specifications.

NEXT MOVE:

The key developments will be Oppo’s official launch date, pricing and confirmation of the charging specifications attributed to Digital Chat Station.

The company is also expected to disclose the remaining specifications of the Find X10E and provide more details about camera capabilities, display technology and battery performance across the range.

OUR LENS:

Oppo is using battery capacity as a major differentiator while simultaneously pushing camera resolution and software capabilities higher.

The 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, five-year capacity-retention claim and triple 200MP camera system suggest that the premium smartphone competition is increasingly moving beyond incremental processor upgrades towards endurance, imaging and device longevity.

The Find X10 series will ultimately have to demonstrate that these headline specifications translate into meaningful improvements in everyday smartphone performance.
